Cold forging in Lugo is one of Signori & Villa's historic activities. It has developed over time thanks to consolidated internal expertise and a park of mechanical and hydraulic presses of different sizes. The controlled deformation of the metal allows us to create technical components for multiple industrial sectors. We have gained solid experience in medium and large series productions, combining processing with the development of equipment and procedures that guarantee precision, uniformity and continuity of the result.

The molding department works both with molds supplied by the customer and with equipment developed on shared specifications. The available presses make it possible to obtain different geometries on varying thicknesses, always with controlled tolerances. The result is pieces that meet the required functional and dimensional requirements and are easily integrated into the mechanical systems for which they are intended.

Stamping on design and customization of components

One of our main strengths is the creation of customized components starting from the customer's design. It all starts with an in-depth preliminary analysis, in which we examine the geometry of the piece, its intended use and the loads to which it will be subjected. Our technical department then defines the necessary tolerances, selects the most suitable materials and offers optimized solutions for the project.

Before starting the molding, we carefully select and prepare the materials. The quality of the sheet, its thickness and the surface conditions directly affect the stability and quality of the finished piece. The preparation includes the cutting, cleaning and verification of the semi-finished products, carried out with modern machinery under the constant control of our specialized personnel.

Press technology and production capacity

Hydraulic and mechanical presses with different forces allow us to manage heterogeneous productions, from small components to more structured pieces. We define the settings based on the mold, the necessary force and the degree of deformation, for uniform and repeatable pieces.

Inspection and verification of printed parts

We carry out dimensional checks and visual checks on each lot. We measure the pieces with dedicated tools to verify the correspondence to the specifications and the regularity of the surfaces. At the customer's request, we also carry out functional tests.

Mold design and development

When required, we collaborate on the definition of the mold, a key element for a precise and repeatable product. We analyze and verify it periodically to maintain constant quality, especially in orders with numerous or repeated series.
